Australia: Why Is It So Popular With Backpackers?
Australia is a very common locale for young British holiday makers, travelers and backpackers to visit, but what makes it such a big draw despite being located on the other side of the globe? Australian culture is very similar to that of the British, to a greater degree than the U.S.A for example with their overly-optimistic outlook. Australian culture is very similar to that of the British, much more so than other English speaking countries such as the U.S.A for example. It is this special relationship that makes Australia holidays appeal to Brits and vice versa, meaning many backpackers make the land down under their first and sometimes only choice of backpacking destination.
So what else brings in the crowds? This is what makes the Aussies so closely associated with sand, sea and surfing and generally chilling out. There are so many ways to discover the country such as! There are a wide variety of ways to explore the country such as Australia tours and Australia cruises. As well as this Australia’s firm place British media through Anglophile celebs who have cut their trade in Britain such as Danii Minogue as well as high profile sporting events like the 2000 Olympic games. Add to this Australia’s prominent position the British media through homegrown celebrities who have embraced Britain such as Kylie Minogue as well as high profile sporting events like the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
All this adds up to create an air of familiarity for Brits that almost makes Australia feel like a home from home, and the reverse is true, trips to the UK are very popular with Aussie travelers. Oz does not just attract temporary visitors however, more and more UK residents are relocating to its sunnier climbs amid frustration with the UK jobs market, climate, congestion levels and general living conditions. Australia is short on skills meaning transferable roles such as nursing, engineering or trades can be applied in most major towns and cities.

A Darkness Within $2.99 For Sully, the owner of an outdoor clothing company, it was supposed to be a simple backpacking trip with a potential client — even if the client was the beautiful sports celebrity, Laura. Sully needed her to endorse his new product line, and all was going well, until they emerged from the isolation of the Colorado back country. Neither Sully nor Laura could have anticipated the horror awaiting them at the darkened Ranger station. They were unaware that an evil virus grown in a lab for military research had been let loose. They find themselves fighting for their lives — and their sanity — in a world caught in the grip of an apocalyptic nightmare. From the white mountains of Colorado to the shimmering blue Great Lakes, Sully and Laura flee from the twisted and evil creatures in an attempt to find a safe haven. It will take all of their athletic and outdoor skills — as well as tons of luck — to survive in a landscape suddenly overrun by ravenous monsters with unnatural hungers. And, as if that weren’t enough, Sully thinks he might be falling in love… |
