Camping Outerwear…Outdoor Clothing For Wilderness Survival
To fully enjoy the outdoor and camping experience, attention to your outerwear is vitally important. Your clothing should serve many functions, depending of course on the activities you have planned. For instance, if your family is just going for the weekend you will plan differently than if you’re staying an entire week. Is anyone going hiking, backpacking, or rock climbing? These are the questions you should be asking during your preparations. In general, clothing should be First and foremost comfortable. Wear loose cloths in layers. They should be lightweight, durable, and wind and waterproof. Other functions include breath ability, rapid drying, and insulation. This may be obvious but before wearing any new clothes or shoes and boots, always test drive them before you get in the woods.
The other thing that outerwear should offer is to be functional. In other words, try getting clothing that can be used for more than one purpose. Anytime someone ventures away from the campsite, no matter what the reason, they should have some kind of a utility tool and a survival kit. So it is good to have some form of a vest or belt that has different size pockets, so these items are always with you, or any member of your party. One should never be without this type of outerwear, because you never know when you or a loved one will wander off, and before they know it they’re lost.
Not everyone can afford to equip their entire party with a GPS or beacon device, so I have come up with an idea for multi- functional outerwear that is cost effective and could save someone’s life. This patent pending concept is available as a belt or vest, and is so cost effective, anyone that backpacks, hikes, rock climbs, and camps, will be able to afford one. In this day and age of electronics, I have devised something that is completely mechanical. There are no batteries or bad reception to worry about. Surviving in the wilderness should never come to mean survival. In this day and age, someone who is lost should only be thinking about being rescued. That is why we need The LifeTracker.
The LifeTracker is a device that in case of an emergency will, with the pull of a cord, jettisons a heavy gauge red balloon attached to a 1000 ft fishing line up high enough for searchers or a rescue plane to see. There is even a solar rope light for night rescues. It is contained in two different multi functional camping gear; The LifeTracker Belt and The LifeTracker Vest. Even if the rescue device is never activated, the gear becomes part of everyday wilderness attire. The LifeTracker makes it possible for people to be found before panic on both sides will ever set in. It not only will save lives, but millions of dollars in search and rescue man hours.
The LifeTracker Belt is…4″ wide with pockets on the outside to store a thermal blanket and other survival supplies.
The LifeTracker Vest…Using the same concept as the “Belt” the vest inner side unzips to release a folded lean-to tent complete with telescopic 3 ft poles. Some people will prefer a vest and are willing to pay extra for the complete survival package. This offers a great option, and like the “Belt”, is very marketable.
There is also:
The LifeTracker Flare Gun…Flare guns are very expensive and, of course, the flare only has a short life. With a small adjustment to the LifeTracker Device, it can easily be kept in a lightweight pistol, that can be stored in any backpack, vehicle, boat or plane. It might even have military use.
The LifeTracker Series can be manufactured and sold
inexpensively enough so that anyone who camps, hikes, rock climbs, or just ventures into the wilderness, will want to include it as part of their gear. A family of four will be able to completely outfit themselves for the cost of one GPS unit.
Please help my dream come true. Go to: The LifeTracker
and click on Contact and let me know what you think.

Adventure Lover $3.5 To survive, she’ll have to keep up with him all day. And all night… Take Me, Lover, Book 3 Jill Martin loves adventure—as long as it comes between the covers of a book. Preferably one sporting a bare-chested hero. But to reinvent her faltering travel agency, she needs to start with reinventing herself. Her assignment: a three-day backpacking trip through the Olympic High Divide. Soon she’s forced to cope with bears, blisters, and a basic instinct to get horizontal with her vertical guide. He’s as hard as the ground they sleep on and his heart’s as icy as the glaciers that surround them. Not a problem, since she’s only interested in his body. Ryan Lowe knows how to read terrain, and Jill’s is easy. Soft lips, soft eyes, soft curves, soft muscles. She won’t last a day. Plus, if she knew what his imagination was doing with her body right now, she’d turn tail and run. Yet the city girl surprises him with her sheer grit—and sassy tongue. When they run into geocachers using the remote location as a drug drop-off, there’s only one way to escape—plunge headlong into the untracked wilderness. As she puts her life in Ryan’s hands, Jill wonders if she’s in danger of losing something more precious. Her heart. |

Babes in the Woods: Hiking, Camping, Boating with Babies & Young Children $8.14 Inspire families to have safe and happy wilderness adventures! • Addresses the ongoing “last child in the woods” concern • Offers a fresh, modern approach to hiking and camping with kids • Makes parenting a celebration of the outdoors and a sharing of traditions There’s a lot of information out there about introducing school-age kids to the outdoors, but what about babies and toddlers? Author Jennifer Aist bridges that gap and shares her tried and tested advice for active new parents. Babes in the Woods introduces outdoorsy moms and dads to the joy and vigor of taking babies and toddlers into the woods at a very early age. Well-organized chapters offer functional solutions for appropriate gear, clothing, and food, nature games to play, and tips on potty breaks and sleeping outdoors—but most importantly, Aist explores all the reasons why introducing even the youngest of children to wilderness experiences is healthy, rewarding, and fun. Whether planning a short day hike, a car camping trip, a base camp adventure, or a backpacking excursion, Aist covers every season and climate, while confirming that babies are well-suited for the mountains, the water, and the adventures that lie beyond. JENNIFER AIST is founder and director of Providence Alaska Medical Center’s parenting and childbirth education program, Parenting with Providence. She teaches classes on everything from breastfeeding to backpacking and conducts her signature “Babes in the Woods,” “Babes in the Snow,” and “Babes on the Water” classes every year. She has also consulted with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game on a preschool outdoor education curriculum.
